Planning with Hamish Compass

What Compass is. Hamish Compass is where a project starts. You describe what you want to build in plain words, and Compass asks the questions a good consultant would: who is it for, what should it feel like, what pages or screens does it need. Your answers take shape in the panel beside the conversation as decisions you can see and change.

When the picture is complete, Compass turns it into a build plan: a set of steps, each with a clear description and a known price in Build tokens. You review the plan, confirm it, and Hamish Studio builds it step by step.

Talking to Compass costs nothing. You only spend when you decide to build.

Essential and Complete. When your plan is ready to confirm, Compass offers two levels.

  • Essential (8 AI tokens) gives you a focused plan: decisive defaults, a lean set of steps, the fastest route from idea to a working first version.
  • Complete (20 AI tokens) goes deeper: more exploration of your audience, brand and structure before the plan is drawn up, and a fuller plan at the end of it.

The difference is scope, not quality. Both produce a real, buildable plan. If you are not sure, start with Essential; you can always go further later.

Your confirmation covers the whole planning session: the plan itself, and any re-planning you do inside it. If you change a decision and Compass redraws the remaining steps, that is included; there is no extra charge for changing your mind while you plan.

On the free tier, you can take three projects through Compass planning. That is three full planning conversations, each ending in a plan you can confirm and build. If you reach the limit and want to keep planning, any paid plan removes it.
