Building your first app
- On your Dashboard, click New Project.
- Choose your route: Start with Compass to plan it first, or Open Studio to build directly.
- In Studio the chat opens with What do you want to build? Describe your app in one clear message, or pick one of the suggestions. Your first build costs 5 Build tokens.
A first build is deliberately one focused page. This gives you something real to react to quickly. You then grow it by chatting (see the next section). If your prompt is short or ambiguous, Hamish may ask a clarifying question first rather than guessing. Answering a question like that does not cost a build.
A good first prompt names who it is for, what it does, and why. For example: "A booking page for a small yoga studio. Visitors pick a class and a time and leave their name and email, so the owner can see who is coming." That is far more useful to Hamish than "make me a yoga website".
